Blueberries were easy to pick this year from a local you pick your own farm. We had a nice cool breeze too instead of it being sweltering hot.
21 pounds of berries.

My wife recently commented that she thought it was about that time of the year.
There is actually a funny story about why this came up. She saw or heard something about someone who had recently discovered a U-pick peach grove. Their reaction had been "Wow, think of the great Instagram opportunities!" Our reaction was "If you are going to a U-pick peach grove for Instagram pictures, you are going for the wrong reason!"

For those that don't know about blueberries, you can freeze them and they preserve nicely so you can get a supply for the entire year. You freeze prior to rinsing. Once you set them out to thaw from the freezer, they are soft and squishy, but excellent for pies and other items you cook. Frozen, they taste wonderful if you lightly rinse and eat while frozen.

Nice! No blueberry patches near me. Plenty of u-pick strawberries and apples though.
