First coat of gloss white, then wet sanded with 400 grit. There will be two or three more coats each with sanding. Final goat will be sanded with 2000 grit and polished from there.

Jason is a person I suspect is pushing the envelope on 3D printing, the rest of his involvement in science I would not understand. I look forward to his posts and his photos here on Fediverse.

Update:
Hopefully I just put the final coat of paint on the nosecone. I'll wait two days for it to cure. If all looks good, 2000 grit sanding followed by polishing. If it does not look good, one more coat.
I also put the last coat of primer filler on the main body of the rocket, it's looking clean. Sanding with 220 grit will tell, I'll then re-sand with 400 grit so it is ready for its first coat of paint.
All this sanding is getting me back in shape! Wax on wax off.
