Week 3 of #skeeball has the Holey Rollers facing their first big challenge of the season as they roll against Skeemotional Damage. They are ranked #5 with a 899.5 average vs our #4 904. They rolled worse than us in week 1 and better than us in week 2. #2 roller Goonie is on their team.

It was a great night! We won 1012-829. They did have a substitute tonight who rolled significantly less than their regular player. We were the first team this season to break 1000 but, in a later game, the Wasted Unicorns rolled 1173. We all rolled season highs. Veggie Roll got a 308 to break 300 in her 3rd game. I rolled my 3rd best ever game with a 344 with 2 cherries (all 40s and 50s). Skeeter rolled hundos tonight to get a 360.

My old teammate DragginBallz was on fire tonight and rolled a 387 blowing away his previous personal best and beating mine by 5 points. His team hit 900 tonight.

Much to my surprise, subject to make-up rolls, we are the #2 team, Skeeter is #9, I'm #10, DragginBallz is #11, and Veggie Roll is #13. I am currently "Mayor of Cherrytown" with 2.

DragginBallz pre-rolled for next week, as he will be out of town, and got a 369. He could be in the running for Most Improved and Veggie Roll might get Rookie of the Season.

I haven't really messed with it in quite a while. I think I needed to take out the padding I added to make it quieter. Scoring got worse after I did that. I should be able to leave it up at the top, but I need to remove it going down the main chute as I think that little bit of extra height or extra bounce is causing the problems. Maybe the glue residue will help keep the ball on the surface of the chute, LOL. More likely, it will make the balls sticky.

I haven't played it much. It seems to throw me off. We finally remembered to take a tape measure to the machines at the arcade and they aren't as different as I expected. Ours is a bit narrower and a bit shorter. I thought it was going to be a lot shorter, given how much I was hitting the front edge the first season after we got it. The inner rails are shorter and rounded such that, if the ball bounces just slightly before it hits the side rail, it will get bounced up, making bank shots very different. As I've been a banker these last 2 seasons, that means I can't really practice how I roll at the arcade.
