It wasn't that the streams repository requires these libraries, but a third-party library we recently started using does - and this wasn't spelled out anywhere obvious in their documentation.

This just serves to remind me that some of the most innocuous changes turn out to cause the most pain. Sorry this happened. I can't say something like this will never happen again, but I'll keep trying to ensure they don't.
