Interesting. I like the R values on his insulation and choosing high efficiency, his roof design makes sense and I would do.
While there are advocates of airtight home construction, I'm not one of of them. I'd rather NOT have to run an air exchanger to get rid of my own CO2 from breathing, especially with his requirement of having it ALWAYS on. If I were living in a cave or a coffin, that seems appropriate.
Right now my experiment is going well, and I have thought about scaling it up. If I do scale it up, based off of Mike's experience I will make sure it is not grid tied (like my existing small setup). I have no plans of scaling in the next year or two.
