Last night around 11pm or so, our internet went out. A little while later, the power went out (again). The power outage incident map showed the same location, but fewer customers affected. The power came back on around 2:30am. With no power and no internet, I had powered everything down by midnight and wasn't going to get up at 2:30 to turn it back on. When I got up at 7, I discovered that the internet had not returned, as I had assumed it would have. It is now almost 2:30pm and it is still out. The latest estimate for repair still says 11am. I was already scheduled to go into the office to work today. I think my wife is working from the library.
Such is the downside of hosting services at home. It finally occurred to me to log into a clone to post this.
