Tonight is the #
skeeball individual tournament. I was ranked #9 in the regular season, but Skeeter can't make it, so that means I should be the #8 seed or higher, depending on who else doesn't show up. I'll be happy if I don't get upset by a lower-ranked player and make it to the quarterfinals. It would be a pretty major upset if I beat one of the top 4 seeds to make it to the semifinals. A couple seasons ago, I was the #12 seed and beat the #5 seed, so upsets can happen. The top 4 players have season averages better than my season high score, so the odds are definitely not in my favor.
But, as I described before, these matches only involve 3 frames (5 once you get to the final 4), so there is not a whole lot of room for making up for early mistakes. You either win a frame or you lose it. Best 2 out of 3 (or 3 out of 5). I'll let you know how it goes.
