So the worry with using this carbon fiber PA filament was that 900MHz, bluetooth, GPS reception, or cell phone reception would be inhibited. I was able to quickly test 900MHz and bluetooth and they worked beautifully, passing through the material as if it wasn't there.
As of today, I have tested both GPS signal reception strength and cell reception strength.
GPS passed in flying colors, the phone got 12 satellite lock while in the long part shown above with the end caps on.
What is both great for testing is that ATT LTE strength is terrible here. This made testing easy though, because any degradation and you completely lose signal. I modified my internal testing version of the Insane Rockets phone app to record cell signal strength in the data set and then placed the phone in the original PLA plastic case(w/ fiberglass reinforcements). I then placed it in the new unfinished enclosure (above) with end caps on. No change in signal strength.
Bottom line: Cell signal strength was unaffected by material. This is great news.
I can use these exotic strong filaments for all critical parts. I'll still laminate them with fiberglass.
