Tomorrow night is #skeeball week 7. We are matched up against the only team we have beaten this season, Hot Pocket Summer, so maybe we will win again (not that win-loss matters). We are scheduled to start at 7 and have the league "Friendsgiving" potluck meal.

We lost 720-767. I tied for my 2nd best game with a 276. I even rolled hundos for 2 frames (27 and 18). My range was 18-33. If I only count up-the-middle frames, it was 24-33. If I hadn't rolled that 2nd hundo frame, I might have had a new high score. Opal and I scored higher than 2 of the opposing players, but that wasn't enough.

I changed up my rolling a bit tonight which seemed to help. A few weeks back, I added a forward swing to my "wind-up" hoping to help my aim. It seemed to help a bit. But what I realized was that I was doing that with my hand facing backwards and rotating my hand during my back swing. I suspect that was probably throwing me off sometimes, so tonight, I kept my hand facing forward and I think it helped. In hindsight, it seems obvious. My average is back over 266, 14 points better than last season.

One more week of regular season play before team and individual tournaments.

Another note from that night... My wife found a pair of used skeeball machines for sale for a reasonable price ($1500 for one, less each for both) that is a reasonable distance away (as we would need to handle transport). She is pitching it as a present for the whole family. We shall see.
