I just discovered that my main hubzilla channel (the one I am posting from) and my streams channel were no longer connected (my hz joco channel was still connected to my streams channel). I don't remember disconnecting them, but maybe I did for some reason. I first tried to reconnect from streams to hubzilla and got an error. Then I tried reconnecting from hubzilla to streams and that worked. I'm not really concerned. I just thought it was weird.

That could be what happened since their channel seems gone. They may have disconnected from everyone before shutting down. Or maybe the act of deleting a channel triggers those disconnections.

After the odd situation of finding one of my channels disconnected from another of them, I was worried that something funky might be going on.

The act of deleting a channel does trigger the same workflow. I can't really say if something else funky might be going on. As far as I know (haven't looked at Hubzilla code recently), these are the only two cases where a connection is deleted. Either you physically deleted it or you were on the other side of somebody else who did.

Correction: It can also happen during a channel sync from clone. Didn't your streams channel start as a clone? It wouldn't be able to sync betwen streams and hubzilla, so this doesn't really apply, but you may have dropped the connection on one side or the other to fully separate them.

I started my streams channel from scratch. After trying it out for a while, it has been idle as I fail to decide to pull the trigger on starting again by syncing my channel over. One of these disappeared channels was still connected to my streams channel, but since it appears to no longer exist, I just deleted it.
