The match-ups for Monday came out last night and our winning streak since forming a full team may be about to end. We are paired against the #2 team. They have a 939 average despite only having 2 players in half their matches. If only 2 show up, it will be a close match. If all 3 show up, we will have to have our best night ever to have a chance.
In the end, the regular season win-loss record doesn't matter. It is the average score which determines the tournament brackets. Maybe they will push us to do our best. Maybe the thought that we can't win will remove any pressure and help me relax and roll better.
I think this will be my night to embrace rolling for hundos. I have been practicing them in recent weeks and think I should be able to match, if not exceed, my typical score. Of course, a few frames of getting only 9 or 18 could change my mind. There are variations in the lanes that can make it harder. If everyone is hitting few hundos, that is probably a good sign to change strategy.
