My back tells me it is time to stop for today or I am going to really regret it. Hopefully, I will be recovered enough to continue tomorrow.

I only put in about an hour today so I wouldn't regret it after I was done. I'm running out of parts that aren't load bearing, but there is a ton (possibly literally) of stuff that can be further cut down.

And now the power is out again. Hopefully, it is an intentional outage to get the rest of our neighborhood back up. There was still a line down and generators running a few blocks away when I went on my morning walk.

Those are are kumquats. They were pretty close to me, so they look bigger than they actually are. There is a young lemon tree that is mostly blocked by that kumquat branch. It Is right next to the downed tree. You can see it clearly In many of the earlier pictures. It hasn't matured enough to start producing fruit yet. Some of its branches were damaged by the falling tree. If I can avoid accidentally crushing it as I cut up the oak, it should be fine.

Another weekend's worth of work at the road:
The middle area is receding:
I've been holding off on dealing with more of the bushy parts hoping the massive pile of bushy parts by the road gets picked up (I should take a picture of that, but it really needs a person in the picture for scale):
A view of the main trunk and the nearly crushed lemon tree:
I'll be taking two weekends off to recover from next week's surgery.

It just so happens that I took a picture this morning. It is hard to get a sense of scale, but I would say it is at least 5 feet tall in most places.
The neighbors across the street took down most of the lightning-killed tree yesterday. This is not the first tree that they have cut down leaving an unusually tall stump. There is at least one more. When I walk the dog tonight, I'll try to remember to look for a 3rd. I have no idea why they leave them like this.

Of all those logs that were on the road Sunday evening, there were only 3 left when I got home tonight. Those three are large Y-shaped ones that are difficult to use for firewood. They even took the longer ones that I didn't cut to firewood length.
