Rotisserie of rocket airframe, yummy. I have now applied the coat of finishing epoxy with add of colloidal silica. This epoxy is formulated to fill gaps and is very easy to sand. Next step will be a ton of sanding, then more sanding. Eventually it will be ready for a few coats of primer filler followed by more sanding.
Once I get the primer coats complete, I try to recut the parts at the two joints you can see. These are also sleeved and I hope I can separate them. Once separated, I fix/fill chips and nicks from separating, sand some more. It may then need some additional primer filler. After that, it should be ready for the first coat of paint.
Did I mention that there will be quite a bit of sanding? :)
