With the news about inflation lately, I thought I would go see what the T-Bill auctions of late have looked like, expecting that their yields might have gone up enough to be worth the hassle of buying them again. Nope. The opposite, in fact. In the May 13 auction, 28-day T-Bills went for face value. That is, you could buy a T-Bill for $100 and redeem it 28 days later for... $100. I'm beginning to wonder if negative interest rate can be far off. That is, paying more than $100 for a $100 T-Bill. They sell in Europe and Japan.
