The sign-up party for the new #
skeeball season was last night. The turnout was low (maybe 20), but hopefully more will show up next week for the start of the regular season. One of my Mo-skeetos teammates was there (he works there) and wants to continue the team. The other hasn't been heard from since last season. So, the team is off to a better start than last season.
After a couple of rusty frames, practice went really well. I rolled a 54 and a 40 as well as beating 30 many times. I'm trying a hybrid strategy where I roll for hundos until I miss two and then I roll up the middle. In the case of my 54, I just kept going even after I missed 2, because I was on a roll and wanted to see how many I could get. If I had followed my rule, maybe I would have rolled a 60.
Hopefully, I'll raise my average by more than 1 point this season.
