Tonight in #
skeeball post-season, we have the semi-final and final rounds of the Brewskee Mug Tournament (top teams) and the Bottoms Up Tournament (bottom teams).
In the BUT, the Holey Rollers (#
1) face Skee the K12 (#
4). With a 95 point season average difference, this will hopefully be 10 frames of practice for us. But, Skee the K12 did beat their high score by 88 point in week 8 to score an 870 which is better than 6 of our 8 weeks.
If all goes well and we make it to the finals, we will face either Nature Boyz (#
2) or It's not EZ being Skeezy (#
3). The Nature Boyz have a 68 point advantage in season average, so it will probably end up being 10 frames of practice for them, resulting in a 1 vs 2 match in the finals.
Compared to the Nature Boyz, we have a 21.1 point lead in season average and a 10 point lead if we exclude our best and worst games. This could be a very tight game. Two seasons ago, the BUT semi-finals had a similar match-up. My team (I was the only common player between then and now) was the #1 seed and got clobbered by the Nature Boyz in the finals, despite having a 71 point advantage in season averages. So, I'm wary, but determined not to have a repeat of that finish. They beat us in week 2 of this season, so my rookie teammates are looking forward to demonstrating how much they have improved since then.
If you are so inclined, the matches are scheduled to start at 5:30pm Eastern Time and you can see the frame-by-frame at
