Just returned from a 6.5 hour power outage. Power went out around 4pm. Shut down the server at 6:30 or so and managed to keep the network up until 7:30. Considering the UPS claimed it would last 5-6 hours, that is disappointing as I replaced the batteries 11 months ago.

Part of the issue, I suspect is that the peak efficiency is at a load much higher than I put on it. The unit is rated for 1500W and, looking at it right now, it has 200W of load, typically. Once I deal with other things, I start shedding load. I power off my NASs ad then my daily driver, leaving just the server and the network. That gets me under 100W. When I turn off the server, it takes just 15W to keep the network up. I need to get to work now, but maybe later I'll go find that efficiency chart.

Correction: It is 1500VA and 865 max Watts. I took electrical engineering too many decades ago.

Our outage had nothing to do with Beryl, which was hundreds of miles away. We did have an afternoon storm. I didn't go down to where they were working to see if it was obvious what happened. Maybe a tree or a car took out something. At some point, the power came on for 2 seconds and went back off for a few more hours. I guess something blew on their first attempt.
