After taking a year off, the false bomb threat dingleberries are back.
Buchholz High, Kanapaha Middle schools cleared following bomb threatThe “all clear” has been given for two schools in Gainesville that were locked down due to bomb threats on Monday morning. Sweeps of both campuses turned up nothing suspicious.
An annoying bit of security theater is that once they canceled school for the day, non-bus-riding students were only permitted to leave by the same rules as if school was in session. A parent with an ID could pick them up or someone claiming to be a parent could call on the phone and give permission for them to walk off. What a great way to swiftly get kids off of a campus supposedly under threat!
I could hear my wife unloading on some unfortunate school employee from across the house.
